An underground utility installation featuring PVC sleeves placed in a trench excavated through undisturbed soil and topped with paving. A pressure mainline, lateral lines, and control wires are each housed within Schedule 40 PVC sleeves, which are sized to be twice the diameter of the carried pipe or wire bundle. The trench is filled with sand backfill compacted to the density of the existing soil. Spacing dimensions are designated throughout the trench cross-section.
