An irrigation controller enclosure sits atop a steel base with mounting studs, secured to an eight-inch concrete slab finished at grade with a two percent minimum slope to drainage. A 120-volt A.C. electrical service is routed to the controller via rigid steel conduit connected to a ground-fault circuit interrupter switch. Low-voltage control wires enter through a schedule 40 grey PVC electrical conduit with a sweep elbow and secure to a terminal strip inside the enclosure. A grounding rod penetrates the concrete pad through a protective PVC sleeve and connects to a grounding lug.
