A direct bury electrical splice kit for low voltage wires uses a 3M DBR/Y-6 or equivalent U.L. approved assembly. The kit consists of a polypropylene tube prefilled with waterproof sealing gel and an internal Scotchlok Y spring connector. Wires are pre-stripped of one-half inch of insulation, twisted firmly into the spring connector, and inserted into the tube until the connector passes the internal lock tabs which prevent wire removal. The tube lid is then closed with the wires passing through dedicated lid grooves. The assembly accommodates a maximum of three low voltage wires, specifically two to three number fourteen or two number twelve pre-stripped copper wires.
