This cold-formed steel single box header assembly spans openings from eight to ten feet wide. A top track nests inside a bottom track to form the rectangular header member, fastened with number ten sheet metal screws at sixteen inches on center top and bottom. Wall studs bear on the assembly with a bottom track placed over the header and studs each side. Number ten sheet metal screws connect the framing members together.
