An irrigation controller in a plastic or metal non-locking case is mounted to a wall at eye level using the manufacturer's mounting kit and instructions. A weathertight junction box with a removable cover connects the controller to electrical wiring housed in EMT conduit. A PVC conduit extends downward from the junction box through the ground and into an underground pull box with a bolt-down cover labeled "Irrigation". Control wire with no splices runs through the underground conduit path. All wiring in EMT conduit supplies power to the box, with the contractor responsible for costs of conduit wiring and additional breakers or boxes if necessary.
