An irrigation hydrometer assembly is housed inside a jumbo valve box with extensions. The PVC mainline pipe connects to the hydrometer using action unions on both sides and incorporates an isolation quick coupler. Waterproof connections utilizing 3M DBR/Y-6 splices protect the control wires and two-wire decoder system, which fastens to the box with a bracket. The entire assembly rests on a concrete paver over three inches of compacted gravel, with brick supports beneath the valve box flanges and a minimum two-inch clearance maintained below the finish grade.
