This bioswale section rests upon an uncompacted subgrade with a variable width of four feet minimum as sized per plans. A foundational layer of three-quarter-inch clean drain rock extends one foot deep, wrapped in permeable landscape fabric. Above the drain rock sits a four-inch layer of three-eighths-inch clean pea gravel. The upper portion consists of an eighteen-inch deep bioswale soil mix conforming to project specifications. Slopes at the banks are graded at three to one, finished with mulch and adjacent plantings.
