The expansion joint assembly consists of a pre-formed compressible filler extending through the full depth of the slab, topped with a backer rod and polyurethane elastomeric self-leveling sealant tooled down one-eighth inch to match the pavement surface, and incorporates three-quarter-inch dowels eighteen inches long spaced at twelve inches on center with one end greased. The control joint features a one-quarter-inch saw-cut joint extending to one-quarter of the slab depth. The isolation joint separates the slab from a varying curb or wall using a pre-formed compressible filler through the full depth, finished with a backer rod and self-leveling sealant.
