The steel beam framing connects to the structural support using a 3/8-inch plate measuring eight inches long with width based on the beam flange minus one inch, featuring 1 1/2-inch slotted holes parallel with the beam. Two 3/4-inch diameter ASTM A325-SC slip-critical bolts at standard gauge secure the connection. A 1/4-inch fillet weld on three sides fastens the plate assembly typical to the supporting member. Additional framing components are bolted through standard connection plates.
