A cast-in-place concrete paving slab features a typical decorative sawcut joint. The joint width is specified as one-eighth inch, with a depth equal to one-quarter of the total slab thickness. Slab thickness and concrete finish are coordinated per structural drawings and the site plan. Reinforcing steel is positioned within the concrete section resting on subgrade material.
