A one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter stainless steel vertical post supports a one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter stainless steel handrail at the top via a five-eighths-inch diameter post welded to the top of the post. The vertical post sets back one and a half inches maximum from the edge of the wall or paving finish surface. The base of the post embeds into the finish surface slab with a typical connection detailed elsewhere.
