Standard installation method for shrubs, establishing correct planting depths and soil preparation. The rootball is positioned with the top two inches above the finished grade, set within an excavation depth equal to the rootball depth and twice its width. The pit is backfilled with amended soil per the agronomy report, incorporating fertilizer tablets at the root zone. A three-inch layer of mulch is applied over the backfill while holding the material back from the plant crown. A three-inch high water basin is formed at the perimeter to retain irrigation.
