A quick coupling valve connects to a 1-inch swing joint assembly measuring fourteen to eighteen inches long, which ties into a PVC tee on the irrigation mainline. The valve sits inside a typical valve box surrounded by three inches of one-quarter-inch diameter pea gravel for drainage. The top of the valve box aligns flush with the typical finish grade.
