Landscape boulders are placed directly on a compacted subgrade with backfill on one side and topsoil on the other, burying approximately one-third of the boulder height. Boulder locations require approval by the owner's authorized representative. The 12-inch wide concrete mow curb rests on a continuous number four rebar and a compacted untreatable base course of 95 percent minimum or greater per the geotech report. Turf is installed at a minimum of 1 inch below the top of the curb except at transition notches.
