Concrete pavers are set on a one-inch layer of bedding sand over a four-inch Class II base compacted to ninety-five percent relative density. The edge is restrained by a six-by-six-inch concrete band constructed from 2,500 PSI concrete of Class 520-C-2500. A single number three reinforcing bar runs continuously through the concrete band. The entire assembly bears upon an engineered fill subgrade.
