An underground trench measuring a minimum of six inches wide houses PVC irrigation lines and control wires bedded in sand. Schedule forty non-potable purple mainline is installed at a minimum depth of twenty-four inches with three inches of sand backfill on all sides, accompanied by a control wire buried side-by-side three inches from the mainline and taped at fifteen-foot intervals. Schedule forty non-potable purple lateral line is placed at a minimum depth of eighteen inches with continuous sand backfill surrounding the pipe. A continuous detectable warning tape is buried twelve inches above the PVC lines and control wires. The upper portion of the trench is backfilled with native rock-free soil, watered down, compacted to ninety percent relative compaction, graded flush, and seeded per specifications.
