The assembly features a steel beam with full-height stiffeners welded on each side, intersecting a diagonal HSS brace member. A 3/8-inch gusset plate is welded to the wide-flange beam and connected to the HSS brace via welds and an erection bolt. Fillet welds of 5/16-inch size secure the plate to the wide-flange beam and the HSS brace.
