A galvanized 1.90-inch outside diameter steel pipe Schedule 40 assembly with a low rail and one-quarter-inch radius corners stands thirty-four inches maximum above the finished surface. All joints are welded and ground, and the rail assembly resists two hundred fifty pounds of lateral force with a finish matching handrails. The vertical supports insert into three-and-one-half-inch diameter by nine-inch galvanized steel pipe sleeves with welded one-eighth-inch bottom plates, surrounded by non-shrink grout. The sleeves anchor into a concrete footing measuring eighteen inches by two feet six inches by twelve inches thick minimum, reinforced with two number four bottom bars each way with three inches of clear cover.
