A dry stream bed is formed with river rock cobble placed over filter fabric to achieve a natural character with no visible gaps. The filter fabric covers one hundred percent of the subgrade beneath the rock cobble. Plantings flank the edges of the swale, and the underlying soil section is constructed per the civil engineer.
