Cold-formed steel studs bear directly on a continuous metal track with sizes and spacings determined by wall section plans. At interior slabs, the track is anchored using Hilti 0.157-inch-diameter X-U powder-actuated fasteners spaced at 16 inches on center with a 1 1/2-inch minimum embedment and a 3-inch minimum edge distance. At concrete interior curbs, the track is secured with 3/8-inch-diameter Hilti Kwik-Bolt TZ expansion anchors spaced at 24 inches on center, requiring a 2-inch minimum embedment and positioned between 2 inches minimum and 6 inches maximum from the end of the track unless otherwise noted. Each stud flange at interior walls connects to the track using number 10 sheet metal screws typical.
