An orange construction fence is placed outside the dripline of the tree canopy and staked with metal t-posts spaced at a maximum of five feet on center. The protection fence encloses the tree trunk area while leaving variable clearances beyond the canopy dripline. Notes specify that no machinery or materials are to be stored within the fenced area, existing trees must be protected during construction, and hand excavation is required within this zone until removal is approved by the landscape architect.
