A fourteen gauge type three hundred four stainless steel grommet with number four finish and polished raised edge is set into a dished fume hood top and steel vacuum pump cabinet over an acoustic blanket. A silicone sealant bead seals the joint around the grommet. The assembly features a three inch dimension across the top flange with quarter inch offsets, a two and five-eighths inch cutout, and a two and one-half inch hole passing through the cabinet layers with a total depth of two and one-half inches.
