The quick coupling valve is positioned two inches below the valve box cover inside a ten-inch locking Carson or equivalent valve box set at finished grade. A schedule 80 PVC riser connects to the pressure supply line eighteen inches below finished grade via a PVC street elbow and a twelve-inch PVC nipple. The assembly is secured with two stainless steel or commercial quality galvanized or cadmium plated steel clamps fastened to a three-quarter inch diameter schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe stake. Two cubic feet of pea gravel surrounds the base of the riser for drainage. All pipe and fittings are schedule 80 PVC unless otherwise specified.
