A concrete unit paver assembly is installed over a sand setting bed for both vehicular and non-vehicular applications. The surface layer consists of concrete pavers with butt joints and sand swept joints using polymeric sand. Below the pavers lies a one-inch minimum sand setting bed. For vehicular applications, this is supported by a nine-inch minimum to twelve-inch maximum Class II compacted aggregate base, whereas non-vehicular applications utilize a four-inch Class II compacted aggregate base. Both assemblies rest on a ninety-five percent compacted subgrade or natural ground per geotechnical report.
