This assembly provides a one foot six inch wide maintenance strip along the face of a building or structure. The strip consists of three inches of type one rock mulch placed over a water permeable geotextile fabric. The entire assembly rests on a sub-base compacted to ninety-five percent maximum dry density. Steel edging separates the mulch from the adjacent landscape area. The surface is sloped at a minimum of two percent away from the structure, with the exact slope to be verified against the grading plan.
