Lodgepole pine stakes are installed plumb and positioned two inches clear of the rootball, driven into the ground to a minimum depth of twenty-four inches until stable. Tree ties are secured at the tree's flex point, located twelve inches below the top of the stakes. The stakes extend past the rootball zone relative to the finish grade.
