An irrigation main or lateral line and spare irrigation line sleeve with a minimum three-inch diameter are set within a trench beneath hardscape and aggregate base backfill. The trench requires a minimum twenty-one-inch width to allow for compaction to ninety-five percent with a six-inch minimum clearance. A control wire conduit with a minimum one-inch diameter runs alongside the sleeves. Epoxy-coated rebar stakes with blue caps are positioned flush to the top of the hardscape for sleeve location identification.
