This typical planting bed section details the soil build-up and plant arrangement over undisturbed soil. The assembly consists of a three-inch mulch layer placed over a specified planting soil mix, which is crowned toward the center of the bed per the grading plan and specifications. Plants are spaced according to the planting chart, set into root balls within the soil mix. The entire planting bed sits atop undisturbed subgrade soil, with depth dimensions referenced in the project specifications.
