Irrigation sleeves are installed beneath paving and at walls using schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride sleeves and schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride pipe. Under paving, the sleeve is set within specified fill and marked with a roofing nail at the paving surface. At walls, the sleeve maintains a minimum fourteen-inch depth below the finished grade and extends six inches beyond each side of paving. Sleeves are sized to be twice the diameter of the lines passing through them. Schedule 80 polyvinyl chloride pipe is placed in the sleeve before backfilling the wall, with both ends capped without glue.
