An underground irrigation control valve and drain assembly is housed within a ten-inch round valve box set at finish grade. The mainline connects via schedule eighty PVC unions, nipples, and female adapters to a Leemco stainless steel non-rising stem gate valve. A secondary branch includes a brass drain valve with a slotted top, connected through galvanized street ells and nipples into a washed gravel sump wrapped in filter fabric, with a notched two-inch schedule forty PVC sleeve protecting the valve. Color coding specifies green boxes and lids for lawn areas and tan for planting beds.
