An outside athletic track curb supports a chain link fence post centered on a continuous concrete curb measuring nine inches wide by one foot deep, with control joints centered at the posts. Two continuous number four reinforcing bars with two inches of minimum clearance on all sides run through the curb, which sits atop a fence post footing sized per Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute standards. The subgrade beneath consists of ninety-five percent compacted subgrade or four-inch minimum crushed surfacing top course compacted to ninety-five percent. Rubberized track surfacing adjoins the outside of the curb, meeting athletic asphalt paving installed flush with the top of the concrete curb at lane six. The fence post is installed on the field side of the fence.
