A perforated lateral pipe is centered in a trench measuring one foot minimum in width and backfilled with three-eighths inch pea gravel. The trench bottom provides a minimum two inch clearance below the pipe. A geotextile fabric, specifically Tencate Mirafi RS380i or approved equal, lines the subgrade elevation with a minimum twelve inch overlap securely stapled in place. Above the fabric, a crowned layer of pea gravel is crowned and compacted to prevent settling beneath the synthetic turf section. Finish grade aligns with the top of infill, while compacted subgrade supports the surrounding assembly.
