This interior threshold detail shows a transition between carpet or a walk-off mat and resilient flooring. A satin anodized aluminum Schluter Schiene profile separates the two floor finishes and is embedded in thin-set mortar. The profile faces away from the carpet tile and abuts the resilient flooring. The transition aligns with the center of the door leaf unless noted otherwise, with leveling strips used to avoid abrupt height changes.
CARPET (CPT) OR WALK OFF MAT (WOM) SCHLUTER SCHIENE-AE (SATIN ANODIZED ALUMINUM) RESILIENT FLOORING NOTE: SCHIENE ONLY WITH CARPET TILE. SCHIENE SHOULD ALWAYS FACE AWAY FROM CARPET AND ABUT TO RESILIENT/TILE. COMPLETELY FILL PROFILE WITH THIN SET MORTAR NOTE: FLOORING TRANSITION TO OCCUR AT CENTER OF DOOR LEAF, U.N.O. NOTE: FLOAT OR USE LEVELER STRIP AS NECESSARY TO AVOID ABRUPT CHANGES IN HEIGHT AT TRANSITIONS
