An irrigation remote-control valve is housed within a standard valve box with a cover set flush to the finish grade or top of mulch. The valve connects to a PVC mainline pipe using a schedule 80 close nipple, schedule 40 elbow, and schedule 80 nipple, extending up to the valve with a male adapter and lateral pipe connections. A 3-inch minimum depth of three-quarter-inch washed gravel sits beneath the valve box on four bricks. Two waterproof connections join a 30-inch length of 2-wire cable to the valve wiring, accompanied by an identification tag.
