The rotameter must be mounted within six degrees of true vertical for proper operation. Failure to drain the rotameter when isolated may result in tube breakage caused by fluid pressure. A throttling valve connects to the top NPT fitting, while an optional drain valve connects to the lower piping assembly to allow complete drainage.
