A metal stud partition connects to the overhead structure using a compatible slip track secured by one-quarter-inch powder-driven fasteners spaced at twenty-four inches on center with two inches from the end. Screws attach each stud to the slip track while allowing vertical movement. Channel bridging is installed per detail specifications with screw fasteners on each side of the wall. The partition base track connects to the floor slab using five-thirty-second-inch diameter powder-driven fasteners spaced at twenty-four inches on center with two inches from the end and one-and-one-quarter-inch minimum penetration.
