A manual line drain valve is installed on a polyvinyl chloride schedule 40 tee connected to a polyvinyl chloride lateral pipe. The assembly is housed within a round valve box with a cover, set flush with the finish grade and top of mulch. The valve box rests over a minimum depth of six inches of three-quarter-inch washed gravel, providing a two-inch minimum clearance below the filtered drain valve.
