An acoustical ceiling transitions at a gypsum board wall featuring a shadow mold trim detail. A metal stud assembly is framed with a pro-x header fastened above, and gypsum board with corner bead finishes the wall partition. A forty-five degree diagonal brace ties into the metal stud framing for in-plane stability where gypsum board does not occur. Alignment with the reflected ceiling plan is coordinated at the perimeter trim.
