An underground remote control valve is housed inside a standard valve box with a cover positioned flush with the finish grade and top of mulch. The valve connects to PVC Schedule 80 nipples, Schedule 40 elbows, tees, and male adapters linking mainline and lateral PVC piping. Waterproof wire connections and an identification tag attach to a 36-inch length of 2-wire cable. The entire assembly rests on a 3-inch minimum depth bed of 3/4-inch washed gravel.
