This interior threshold detail shows a transition between carpet tile or walk-off mat and resilient flooring. A satin anodized aluminum Schluter Schiene-AE profile divides the two finishes, facing away from the carpet and abutting the resilient flooring. The profile cavity is completely filled with thin-set mortar. Flooring transitions must occur at the center of the door leaf unless noted otherwise, and leveler strips or floating methods are used as necessary to prevent abrupt height changes.
USE SCHIENE ONLY WITH CARPET TILE. Schiene should always face away from carpet and abut to resilient/tile. NOTE: FLOORING TRANSITION TO OCCUR AT CENTER OF DOOR LEAF, U.N.O. NOTE: FLOAT OR USE LEVELER STRIP AS NECESSARY TO AVOID ABRUPT CHANGES IN HEIGHT AT TRANSITIONS satin anodized aluminum color CARPET (CPT) OR WALK OFF MAT (WOM) SCHLUTER SCHIENE-AE RESILIENT FLOORING COMPLETELY FILL PROFILE WITH THIN SET MORTAR
