A pop-up spray head or bubbler connects to a Schedule 40 PVC tee or elbow on a lateral irrigation line via a swing joint. The top of the pop-up is set flush with the finish grade. Six-inch pop-ups are specified for turf areas, and all spray heads must include check valves. Connections between Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC require Teflon tape, and the surrounding soil must be properly settled after installation.
