A manual line drain valve connects to a polyvinyl chloride schedule forty tee fitted into a polyvinyl chloride lateral pipe. The assembly is housed within a round plastic valve box equipped with a cover, positioned flush with the finish grade and top of mulch. A filtered drain valve threads into the bottom of the tee above a minimum six-inch depth of three-quarter-inch washed gravel, maintaining a two-inch minimum clearance.
