An equipment rack is anchored to a concrete substrate using a one-half-inch concrete insert embedded in the concrete. A one-half-inch-by-thirteen-UNC stud bolt with rolled threads fastens into the insert. A flat washer and lock washer sit beneath a one-half-inch hex nut to secure the equipment rack base plate. Suitable field-installed expansion-type anchors may be used as an alternative.
