A pop-up sprinkler head is installed flush with the finished mulch or turf grade, positioned two inches above the subgrade and one-half inch above finished grade. The sprinkler body connects at its base to a threaded swing joint assembly, which extends downward and laterally to connect to the main irrigation supply pipe. The assembly includes a riser elbow, a swing arm, and a lateral connection fitting attached to the main supply line.
