A pop-up spray head or bubbler is mounted flush with the finish grade atop a Schedule 40 PVC body. The assembly connects to a lateral irrigation line via a swing joint and a Schedule 40 PVC tee or elbow. Six-inch pop-ups are specified for turf areas, and all spray heads must include check valves. Schedule 40 to Schedule 80 PVC threaded connections require teflon tape, and soil must be properly settled around the head after installation.
