A remote fiber amplifier and a battery backup unit are mounted to the wall with dedicated single-mode fiber connections running to and from primary and redundant head ends. The battery backup unit receives power from a dedicated emergency branch circuit via a NEMA 5-15R receptacle and supplies a DC power cord to the amplifier. Horizontal distribution cabling routes through the assembly and connects to levels above and below.
