A Rain Bird VB-6RND round valve box with cover encloses a PVC schedule forty tee connected to a PVC lateral pipe. A filtered drain valve, model Rain Bird 16A-FDV-075, threads into the bottom of the tee above a minimum six-inch depth of three-quarter-inch washed gravel. Bricks support the assembly, maintaining a two-inch minimum clearance above the gravel bed. The top of the valve box aligns flush with the finish grade and top of mulch.
