A plastic pipe penetration passes through a concrete slab over metal deck maintaining a minimum thickness of two and one-half inches. The annular space around the pipe is sealed using Hilti FS-One Max firestop sealant. Installation must comply with Underwriters Laboratories system F-A-2058. Permissible pipe types include two-inch maximum diameter PVC schedule 40 cellular or solid core pipe and two-inch CPVC schedule 17 pipe.
