An 8-inch cold-formed metal framing stud wall forms the primary structural backing, filled with R-19 batt insulation and faced on the interior with a vapor retarder and 5/8-inch gypsum wall board. The exterior side receives R-10 rigid insulation secured with Z-clips fastened to the studs, a cementitious backer board, a water-resistive barrier, and a finished tile layer. The assembly provides thermal performance and moisture protection for exterior wall construction.
