Panel end and edge joints are spaced one-eighth inch apart with fastener edge margins maintained at a minimum of three-eighths inch. Spacing between lines of nails is reduced as necessary to maintain minimum fastener edge margins, with a minimum spacing between lines of three-eighths inch. The engineer shall be notified if any of these requirements are not met. Dimensions show specific edge distances and fastener spacing for three-inch and four-inch nominal framing.
